I've spent the biggest part of the day in my hotel room trying to rest my back as much as possible. I've periodically gone for short walks (more like shuffles really) and tried to gently stretch my back muscles a bit. I guess the drugs wore off completely around 4:00 this morning. I was wakened by a severe back spasm that had the muscles locked up tighter than a drum. Luckily I had made sure the pills were within easy reach of the bed when I turned in last night. I took some vicodin and flexeril and then just laid there and even managed to doze off again for a couple more hours. When I got up this morning the back was worse than ever. I could hardly move at all. It took me a long time to just get my pants on. This morning it was very cold and extremely windy in Bridgeport, CT. I pulled the tarp off the saw and folded it up, but trying to handle a large tarp in high winds is an exercise in futility to say the least. After I got my truck out of the shop, with a generator that was supposed to be fixed but turned out was still broken, I bobtailed into town for some lunch.
