My heart goes out to the flood victims too because I know exactly what they're going through. I lived in St Louis during the floods of 93, and I'll tell ya, their work has just begun. The real devastation is what's left behind once those floodwaters recede.

I remember watching coffins float down the street...and large PROPANE tanks that had busted loose from their moorings. The stench and black mold that covered every dampened surface was also terrible, as were the risks of typhus and dysentary.

I'd urge anyone who can afford to do so send a donation to the Red Cross. Those folks are gonna need all the help they can get.

<pubDateParsed>2008-07-04T14:48:24</pubDateParsed>
little-whip on Dodging The Floods

I wondered how you fared with all that weather going on? Good to hear you're ok!

<pubDateParsed>2008-07-04T14:48:24</pubDateParsed>
foreverserenity on Doing It Again

Where are you, Mason?
