From the Weekly World News: Link WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Frank Church and Sandra State were living together for nine months when they appeared before Judge Horace Belchick on a routine housing zoning matter. They were stunned at what happened next. Judge Belchick ordered them to agree to separate, immediately. "We were flabbergasted!" said Frank. "We were sitting there holding hands, very much in love -- and he hit us with this!" "Separation of church and state is one of our countr...

Yes, those loveably misunderstood terrorists are at it again. This time in India. I'm sure it must be Bush's fault. Link

Tropical Depression 1 has now strengthened to Tropical Storm Alberto, the first named storm of the season. And we are now being visited by Alberto. What we got yesterday was just the far-flung bands from it. As far a Tropical Storms go, this one's not very impressive, but we're starting to get the winds and rain from it. We really do the need the rain, but I would prefer a nice steady rain instead of this sort of tropical downpour with all the wind. It's looking like we may be in for an...

From UPI: OSLO, Norway (UPI) -- A large meteorite struck in northern Norway this week, landing with an impact an astronomer compared to the atomic bomb used at Hiroshima. The meteorite appeared as a ball of fire just after 2 a.m. Wednesday, visible across several hundred miles in the sunlit summer sky above the Arctic Circle, Aftenposten reported. Peter Bruvold, a farmer, said he happened to be out in the fields with a camera because he was tending a foaling mare and he photographed ...

I was just watching an educational program called South Park and according to their writers the true cause of global warming is...farts. According to their expert Randy Marsh-Son of a Bitch, this presents a real dilemma as his research shows that farting is releasing too much methane into the air which is causing global warming, but holding in your farts can lead to spontaneous combustion. At this point in time the best solution seems to be only to fart in moderation and only when it's...

Yet another looney judge does it again. District Judge Kristine Cecava, Sidney, Nebraska, gave a convicted child molester probation instead of a prison sentence. Why? Because he's short! The judge stated that she was concerned that Richard W. Thompson, 50, would be especially imperiled by prison dangers because he is only 5' 1" tall and so ordered probabtion instead of the many years of prison time he richly deserves. I wonder how tall his victims were?

Late Grateful Dead Leader's Toilet Stolen SONOMA, California (AP) -- The long, strange trip continues for Jerry Garcia's toilet. Police say the Grateful Dead leader's commode was stolen recently from a driveway along with three other toilets and a bidet, The Press Democrat newspaper reported Saturday. Garcia's salmon-colored toilet was the subject of a legal battle before it was finally moved to Sonoma, to await shipment to a Canadian casino. It's unclear if the toilet was swiped by...

On March 31, 2004, Jennifer Porter was driving through a dimly lit intersection on 22nd Street in Tampa when she struck four children, killing 13-year-old Bryant Wilkins and his 3-year-old brother, Durontae Caldwell. She then drove away without stopping to see if she could help the children or even taking the time to call for emergency assistance for them. Yesterday Judge Lamar Battles sentenced Jennifer Porter to two years of house arrest followed by three years' probation and 500 hours o...

The Muslim terrorists success in attacking and murdering innocent people depends upon countries allowing them free access to their societies. They travel freely from one country to the other, often using forged documents. They count on the "fairness" of other nations who are loathe to openly ban Arabic/Muslim peoples from their country for fear of being seen as bigoted and unfair. This is an enemy who relies upon our unwillingness to single out a group of people, or take any sort of negati...

Ok, a recent article by one of the more hateful and very much anti-US members stated that the US violated the law by using napalm in Iraq. Instead of responding on that member's blog, as I don't post any comments on that person't blog as I consider that person a hate monger and less than credible, I thought I would research it myself and present some real facts without the obvious spin and absurd lies that were added to the story. First of all, yes it's true. the US did use napalm. Secondl...

That's right folks, Michael Jackson has been found guilty on all charges in the Court of Public Opinion. In spite of the fact that the real prosecution in a real trial in a real court of law failed to prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, he will forever be guilty in the eyes of the public. In any criminal trial, the burden of proof is on the prosecution. They must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant is guilty of the crimes he or she is charged with. As one who has p...

The New York Post reports that it will cost employers $628,880,000 in lost productivity on the first two days of Star Wars Episode III - Return of the Sith . How many of you are planning to skip at least part of your workday on the first two days? Now I wonder just how they came up with that figure? Besides, look at all the money the theaters will make.

RealID Card legislation has been attached to emergency military spending bills to ensure its passage. How soon does everyone think this system will be abused either by the government or by thieves ? Due to the completely machine-readable/automatic nature of the thing -- you might not even know you're giving your information away. From the article: "Starting three years from now, if you live or work in the United States, you'll need a federally approved ID card to travel on an air...

Once again we are hearing that there is a shortage of flu vaccine. At one truckstop clinic I saw a big sign that read "No Flu Vaccine". When I inquired about this, they said all the available vaccine in that area had gone to m"ore important" local clinics. I suppose that translates into "truck drivers aren't considered important even though they travel all over the country and are at extreme high risk of catching and spreading the flu from one end of the country to the other". I guess s...
