A bunch of useless crap
Yet another looney judge does it again.

District Judge Kristine Cecava, Sidney, Nebraska, gave a convicted child molester probation instead of a prison sentence. Why? Because he's short!

The judge stated that she was concerned that Richard W. Thompson, 50, would be especially imperiled by prison dangers because he is only 5' 1" tall and so ordered probabtion instead of the many years of prison time he richly deserves.

I wonder how tall his victims were?

That is ridiculous. I predict a crime wave in Nebraska by short men. I mean if they can't go to jail why not rob the local liquor store?

Had he gone to prison he'd have gotten as good as he gave.....it would be his just desserts....

This judge needs to be removed from the bench,  I don't know how or if that can be done, I just hope it happens soon.

And I'm not going to Nebraska,  too tall.

Saw this on Tucker Carlson last night. You can bet that if he had robbed a bank it wouldn't have happened this way. The judge in question knows what kind of reception awaits child molesters in jail, and she'd rather protect him than the children in whatever community they dump him in.

As someone with 200+ registered in my city, I'm sick of it. They seem to all get dumped in the same apartment complexes, usually low-rent, where a lot of kids live as well. If the government doesn't care for us enough to protect our children, then we should offer it as much consideration when we decide how best to deal with monsters in our neighborhood.

the government is toooooooooo busy building and financing baseball stadiums!! to care about the welfare of children.

It's also sexist if they don't allow women the same break. I'm only 5'2" and I'm headed to Nebraska to make my fortune robbing armoured cars.

If you take my wife, y'all can be "Thelma and Louise". I'll watch the kids, as long as I get my cut when you two get back!

I'm 5'4", 5'5"...depends on how tall I'm feeling..hehe...but I can slump to about 5'2"....so I think that is short enough to qualify for the Thelma & Louise Team.

Just another judge that thinks he is THE LAW!

It's a she, MM. They showed her picture on the news last night. I found this short bio on an unrelated site. Creepy in that she has worked in the past with "The Nebraska Commission for the Protection of Children"

She should be removed from office, and thereafter shunned along with her pint-sized ward. Judges that knowingly make decisions like this in the face of obvious dangers to society should be counted as party to any subsequent crime. If he harms any child, she should be sitting beside him in the defendant's chair.

Ahh I'm only small, so I'm up for some midget bank robbing, hehe!

I think this is terrible, how can that judge think that was the right thing to do?

As if the judge isn't bad enough:

Joe Mangano, secretary of the National Organization of Short Statured Adults, agreed with the judge's assessment that Thompson would face dangers while in prison because of his height.
"I'm assuming a short inmate would have a much more difficult time than a large inmate," said Mangano, who is 5 feet 4 inches tall. "It's good to see somebody looking out for someone who is a short person."

My mother used to date rich when we lived in Sidney. I knew he was different. Every Night Instead of Sleeping in their bed he would lay on the couch and watch Pornographic Material. I for one have seen his power and fight i feel he should be put in prison size doesnt matter!
