There's a new movie release, Mr. Bean's Holiday. I am so looking forward to seeing this one. I've always loved Rowan Adkinson's Mr. Bean character. The guy is hilarious. I can hardly wait.
I just finished watching the movie 'Take The Lead' starring Antonio Banderas, based upon the ballroom dance program started in NYC schools by Pierre Dulaine. As a fan of ballroom dance ( I did a pretty mean Tango before I busted my hip) I really enjoyed the movie. Banderas departed from his typical tough guy role and depicted a caring and dedicated dance instructor/high school teacher and did a pretty damn good job of it. I write that grudgingly as I am not an Antonio Banderas fan. The mov...
Sitting around the hotel room and this show is on. This has to be without question the most stupid program ever created by the sick minds of Hollywood. I can't even imagine anything more stupid.
I watched the M. Night Shyamalan movie Lady In The Water last night. While it certainly isn't award winning material it was a very enjoyable and interesting movie. Well worth investing the time to watch. It's full of mythos and fantasy set in very ordinary surroundings, and even has a couple of surprises for you. Like I said, it's not going to sweep the awards by any means, but if you're at the video store looking for something a little different to kill some time this movie would be a go...
I can't help it, the show South Park just makes me roll with laughter every time I see it. As really dumb as it is, the writers are about as irreverent as they come and they don't seem to shy away from any topic. It's hilarious. In the episode playing now they've covered everything from the ATF and a Ruby Ridge/Waco type of situation to homophobia. Naturally they totally trashed everyone and everything. That's what I like about them. They don't discriminate. They trash everyone equally.
I've always liked the show Frasier (Daphne is hot), but as I don't usually watch a lot of tv there are a number of episodes I have never seen. I was just watching one such episode. In this episode Frasier and Niles get involved with black market caviar dealers which is amusing but even funnier is their father's dealing with the bank over a simple ATM mistake. He went to an ATM to withdraw $20 and the machine mistakenly gave him $60. At Daphne's insistence he tried to return the extra $40 t...
I just watched this movie the other evening. It's pretty much what you'd expect from Larry the Cable Guy. It's loaded with farting, some vomit, a slew of non-PC jokes, and is certain to offend the PC sensitive crowd. In other words, I liked it. If you aren't offended by the rectal passing of methane gas, sniffing a rat's ass, or the sight of a fat redneck sitting on a toilet, it's a pretty amusing movie.
Ads like this would make me consider watching more tv. I think I may have posted this one before, but it's well worth a second look. Link
Ok, first off I have to admit I don't watch very much television so I haven't been completely indoctrinated by the media. I turn on the tv when I am home which is only about one week a month, often a tad less. I don't have cable either so I catch whatever is on the three or four broadcast stations that my rabbit ears can pick up. Will and Grace. Ok, a kind of cute show although it promotes some things I am not exactly in tune with. Have I ever mentioned that I am not the most PC person in ...
I've been watching a program on PBS this morning caled Texas Ranch House. The premise basically is there is a group of people who have come to live on a ranch in Texas. They live and work as people did there in 1867. It's fairly interesting to see how they deal with the living conditions of a 19th century ranch. Their objective is to get the new ranch, owned by the Cooke family, up and running. They must build a corral and then round up free roaming Longhorn cattle and sell them for a prof...
Was there anyone who didn't kill Kenny?
As most people tend to watch far more tv than myself, a lot of folks have probably seen this. I was just watching an episode of That 70s Show in which Alice Cooper was a guest star. The closing scene showed Alice playing Dungeons and Dragons with a couple of radio station dorks, I don't know why exactly, but this just cracked me up.
I haven't played my harmonica in a long time. When I did, I was usually in the truck, alone. Today for some silly reason I pulled it out and began playing it. It's an old Marine Band by Hohner. My dog, Benny, has heard me play a number of instruments including a South American clay flute (my favorite), a guitar, piano, and a stereo (the one I'm best at besides a juke box). As soon as I started playing my harmonica Benny looks at me kinda weird and then begins howling. Now, I've never hear...
