A bunch of useless crap

I can't help it, the show South Park just makes me roll with laughter every time I see it. As really dumb as it is, the writers are about as irreverent as they come and they don't seem to shy away from any topic. It's hilarious.

In the episode playing now they've covered everything from the ATF and a Ruby Ridge/Waco type of situation to homophobia. Naturally they totally trashed everyone and everything. That's what I like about them. They don't discriminate. They trash everyone equally.

I'm a King of the Hill man myself.

King of the Hill is ok, but it just never quite amused me in the same way. In some ways South park reminds me of a bit more crude version of the Benny Hill show.

I know, totally different types of shows, but Benny Hill had a way of poking fun at just about every aspect of established society that really made you roar with laughter. The guy was a genius.

I guess what I like about King of the Hill is how dead on the money it is about small town Texas.

And yes, I used to LOVE watching Benny Hill!

Benny Hill was one of my favorite shows when I was in college.

I, too, am a South Park lover . . . when I lived on campus, a friend of mine had every single episode uploaded on the student system. If you wanted to watch one, get on any campus computer and just open it on up.

There were many days where, rather than go to campus, it was South Park time . . .

I can easily envision worse ways to waste time. As a matter of fact I lived most of them when I was in college.

Yeah the old classic cartoons were always the best. I was never really a Johnny Quest fan though.

Saturday mornings, a bowl of Cap'n Crunch in front of the old black and white set in your jammies, mama milling around cleaning house in the background...the good ole days!

I share a love of this show with the legions of fans it has.  While there are occassionally some poor episodes, most of the time they are right on their game.

Actually, I still think that the loss of Isaac Hayes and the whole Scientology/Tom Cruise dust-up with Comedy Central served to get Parker and Stone back on their "A" game.  They seemed especially inspired this past season and had some of their best episodes ever because of it.

I have been writing a lot about south park. I am putting together a book on the post modern movement that is taking the words out of the hands of the press owning elite, and handing them to the smallest, sickest child in the village -- the ones who have nothing left to lose but their pride.

Anyways, those south park guys read my blog.

My little announcement: sorry to bug ya... but I am in the middle of this political protest radio show live show thing here in chicago, called the crusade of pain... and I am trying to get my favorites list to take one of my peace poems or stories or whatever, and put them on their blogs with a link back... please???? For grrrrr's sake. I will owe you and I pay my debts big time, with grace and humor.
