I'm trying something a little different for tonight's dinner. I picked up some chicken breast tenderloins at the grocery the other day and until now hadn't quite decided how I was going to prepare them. I had a jar of Classico marinara sauce in the cabinet which I hadn't used. I usually like to make my own sauce but figured it might come in handy in a pinch. I decided to put the chicken in a roasting pan, cover it with the marinara sauce and toss this mess into the oven to see what happens...

Some folks really shouldn't attempt home repairs themselves as they simply have no idea what they are doing. When I bought this place I noticed that the cold water valve in the bathtub had a slow, steady stream no matter how tightly you twisted it off. Obviously a bad washer. Tonight I threw together a dinner that was pretty tasty. I made some brown rice with a little extra water so it would be extra moist. Then I put some olive oil and soy sauce into a skillet and heated that. I put the rice into the skillet, added some chopped onion, canned black beans, and carrot shavings. I fried this up adding a few more dashes of soy sauce as I went. Very simple, but quite tasty.

For several years now I have used so-called primitive lighting in my home instead of the harsh artificial electric lighting most commonly used these days. Ok, I am a little old fashioned by nature. I prefer simple country fare to gourmet. A nice walk in the woods is fare more enjoyable to me than hours spent sitting in front of the idiot box being inundated with endless commercials.
