I took care of booking my flight to Milwaukee today, it leaves out of Tampa 10:30 Monday morning. There is a lot for me to get done between now and then. I have to pack, deciding what to take and what to leave (Brooks Brothers suits stay here LOL), clean out the fridge and cabinets of anything that can't store while I am gone. I will be shutting off the power and water at the outside connections to the place to reduce the monthly bills as I see no need to heat water while I am 1000 or more miles away.
It's quite cold up in Wisconsin this time of year and I will have to find myself a coat when I get up there. The last winter coat I had I was wearing when I had the car wreck and they cut it off of me (was a brand new one too).Besides, even if they hadn't cut it up, I doubt the blood would have ever washed out of it. The lack of a coat is not a big deal living here in Florida but I will need something along those lines in the frozen North. It's very difficult to find a warm winter coat here as there just isn't exactly a huge demand for them.
I'm going to miss riding my bike every day. I have been checking prices for a fold-up bike that I can carry in the truck. It looks like I can get a decent one with carrying case for about $450 including shipping. That is definately on my wish list now as I want to keep myself reasonably fit while on the road as well as keeping the bum hip in some sort of useable shape.
Details, details. I gave my mom some cash today so that she can cover my bills the first of the month, which she is happy to do. I am taking envelopes and stamps so I can mail money orders to her to continue to handle these monthly bills for me as I get paid.
I'm glad I have allowed myself enough time to think through and take care of everything before I leave out. It still seems like a lot of small details to hash out though.
