Well, let's see, I've moved into my new place and while there are some small problems it's great to have my own place again. The kitchen faucet leaks all over the counter so I will be replacing it ASAP, and my phone which was supposed to be hooked up a week ago last Wednesday was finally installed this past Monday. I wasted a whole day today waiting for the phone company tech to come and get my phone service working and, guess what?, he never showed up. Assholes.
My new place is a 22 foot travel trailer which was set up in the same park as my mother's place where I have been staying since I got out of the hospital in January. It has all of the amenities and is pretty comfortable. It's plenty of room for me and the price was right for my budget. I had to buy a new fridge for the place as the one that was in it just didn't get cold enough. I put ice trays in the freezer and after two days they still hadn't even begun to freeze. The new fridge works great.
Work and cleaning the new place and figuring out what goes where has kept me pretty busy since I moved in. I don't have a lot of stuff but I do like for everything to have a place. Once nice thing about travel trailers is they tend to have a lot of storage space. This place has cabinets just about everywhere you look so it's just a question of figuring out what stuff needs to go where.
My sprained ankle is still pretty swollen and sore but the foot is finally back to normal size and I was finally able to ride my bike to work last Friday. It was mildly painful but manageable.(Pain don't hurt)
Work has been a real pain in the ass lately. I have a whole crew of new people and am spending 99% of my time training and correcting what I consider to be stupid mistakes. It took me all of one day to learn how to do the job there but it seems like some of these folks, after a couple of weeks, still just don't quite get it. It's not exactly rocket science.
Well this is pretty much a ramble I guess. Random notes on what's going on.
I stopped in of the local pubs last Friday night. I hadn't been in there for 2 weeks because of the sprained ankle and my inability to ride my bike. It was kinda nice the way people had missed me. A couple of ladies hugged and kissed me, saying they had been worried that I had been run over by a car or something LOL.
Life goes on...
