A bunch of useless crap

Riding to work yesterday there was a lot of wind. We are on the extreme northern edge of Rita's effects as it passed south of Florida. The wind blew down a tree limb as I was riding. I saw it coming down into the street and tried to dodge it but it struck my right hand as I held the grips.

At first it felt as if my hand might be fractured, but after a couple of minutes I decided it was merely bruised, with a small cut on the back of my hand. No serious damage, but a close call just the same.

Yikes M that was a close call! I'm glad you're ok. Your hand's gonna be smarting too. We've just been having a lot of bands of rain our way, pretty heavy at times too. Right now it's pretty dark and gloomy outside it's not even 3pm yet! Take care of yourself.

Thanks all!

The hand is a tad sore and bruised but none the worse for wear. By the time I got to work it was bleeding like crazy but was just one of those little cuts that seem to enjoy bleeding a lot and acting like a big cut.

Tonight was still windy and rainy but no incidents to speak of. Still some tree limbs and such down in the roads but they were laying still and behaving themselves.

The joys of living on the coast I guess.
