A bunch of useless crap

It looks like my biking to work is going to be on hold for a couple of days as hurricane Dennis makes his presence known here in Florida. Between high winds and heavy rain riding a bike is going to be unwise at best.

With any luck Dennis will stay well out into the Gulf and won't be doing any real damage here, but past experience has proven a hurricane doesn't watch the weather channel and doesn't always follow projected paths. They pretty much go where they damn well like.

If things get too bad here I'll be in for some overtime as I am on the Hurricane Security Response Team. Personally, I'd rather have minimal damage and pass on the OT.

Well, I think based upon the track, you will be spared.  Miss and ALA better have a lot of Masons!

No way Elie! I'll take hurricanes over earthquake anyday! So far so good for me here in Central Fl Mason. Just hunker down (the fav phrase from last year) and be safe!

I'd rather deal with hurricanes than quakes any day. I'm not too concerned about the storm, just bummed because it's going to keep me from riding.

It looks like I'll be able to ride tonight, but tomorrow and Sunday will definately be wet.

Serenity, what part of central Florida are you in? I'm also in central, Plant City, just east of Tampa.
