It's rainy season here in Florida. It's a fact of life here, but it seems that this year has started out to be wetter than normal. I haven't ridden my bike in over a week now due to daily rain. Yesterday I was preparing to ride over the state employment office, the sun was shining and it looked nice out. In the ten minutes or so it took me to get dressed, grab my helmet, and head out the door it started pouring. I called a friend and begged a ride.
Just a few minutes ago I looked outside. No rain. Sun shining. Great, go for a ride. Again, by the time I got dressed and grabbed my helmet a downpour started. Gimme a break already! It seems that the moment I start thinking of going for a bike ride the weather chuckles and starts a torrent of rain.
Now, a little light rain doesn't really bother me much. It just means I'll have to clean and oil everything after the ride. But these are torrential downpours, usually accompanied by severe lightening. Not exactly bike riding weather.
I am hoping it will let up and dry up in time for me to get at least a few miles in before the sun goes down, but at the moment the weather is laughing loudly at me yet again.
