A bunch of useless crap

If and when I can get back to working, this is the bike I want to buy for commuting around town and for getting back and forth to work.

There are far better, and more expensive bikes out there, but this one is a great compromise between budget, quality, and speed.

I need to get a recumbent as well. I used to be an avid cyclist, but part of my weight gain has been due to the fact I can no longer ride

I have just dragged my bike out of the rafters, because the doc. said I must excersise more. I would much rather be "pumping" something else. heh heh heh

Yeah Gid, the recumbents are great. I just wish the prices would come down to a reasonable range.

MM, sounds like good advice from your doc. Biking is a great way to get that exercise and some fresh air as well. Just take it easy at first, takes a while to get back in shape for it.

Nice looking bike. I'm surprise you're not thinking of one of those "mountain" type bikes with the fancy wheels. They seem to be popular here in Fl.

I have a mountain bike now. It's really not designed for the type of riding I normally would be doing now. They're really off-road bikes. I am looking more for a comfort type street bike with a more upright riding position and a road suspension/frame as these things will be better for my bad hip and improve handling on the streets where I will be doing the bulk of my riding.

My off-road trail riding days are over.

Oh yes, this sounds a lot better for you. And comfort will be key.
