A bunch of useless crap

Well, I finally found an ad for a job I may be able to do, at least for a while. The company that runs the potrait studios in Wal Mart is looking for someone to work the studio in our local store.

Yeah, it's not exactly a great job, and the pay isn't too hot, but right now anything would be better than sitting around doing nothing so I sent them an application via monster.com.

Maybe I'll hear from them this week. Right now ANYTHING is better than nothing.

If I were physically able to do that kind of work right now, I'd be set. The papers are full of ads looking for maintenance people for apartment complexes and trailer parks around here.

That's great Mason... I wish you the best of luck!
If at any time you need access to a fax machine... you can e mail me the papers and i would gladly fax it for you... it's long distance, but costs me almost nothing... I really would not mind.

I know where you come from!  Thank god the last time I was out of work, my Wife made sure that I had plenty to do when I was not interviewing.

Being idle robs the spirit!  Doing SOMETHING helps even if it is not making money. or very little money.

Very true. Actually, if I had a way to get to Mass and back I was offered a job at a Boy Scout camp up there for 6 weeks managing the general store. It would only pay $1800 for the 6 weeks plus food and lodging, but sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Unfortunately I don't have the means to get there and back and the expense wouldn't really make it worthwhile, except for the "fun" aspect.

I would really like to find an opening managing an apartment building or trailer park around here as that would not only provide employment, but a place to live as well. Maybe I'll get lucky.

What do you need to get there?  Where there is a will, there is a way!  One never knows.  Look at what you need, and then figure out how to get it.  Take it one step at a time. Dont try the whole enchillada all at once.

Basically, airfare and expense money. Short of armed robbery it's pretty much out of the question.
