A bunch of useless crap

I am really looking forward to being able to begin trying to walk again soon. Two more weeks before I can start working on it and I feel that's it's going to be a long two weeks. Sitting around basically doing nothing wears thin rather quickly.

I have been keeping myself busy checking out various Linux distributions. I've tried a good many packaged distros and even compiled and built a Gentoo system from scratch. It was all very interesting and educational. I've finally settled on Slackware as my primary OS due to it's simplicity, stability, and reliability.

Now that my OS testing and basic playing around is over, I'm bored again. I try to keep busy chatting and surfing the web reading whatever strikes my fancy, but that gets boring after a while. My next real challenge will come when I can begin testing weight on my leg and trying to walk.

Right now I've come down with some lousy bug that's giving me a splitting headache, achy body and a very tired feeling. Could be contributing to my over all boredom as I basically feel like crap. I want something to do but don't feel much like doing anything.

It's been a long three months since the wreck and I'm trying to maintain a positive outlook during this. What I really need is to get well enough to get a job.
