A bunch of useless crap

Hello JU.

I haven't been on here in quite a long time. My computer went down on me a wile back and I could just never seem to find the time to repair it until now. I was involved in a very bad car accident on December 26th, a head-on collision with a much larger vehicle.

I suffered a boken right hip joint which required surgery to repair. I remained in the hospital until January 11 when I was discharged to fly home to Florida for a long recouperation period. While I am just sitting around anyway I decided to take apart my notebook and repair the powering problems. I finally finished the repairs today.

And so, I am back here once again. Since I will be recouperating for at least 6 months I figure I just may be able to find some time to write a few articles. Who knows?

Oh Mason, I am sorry.  I know how you feel..I tangled head on with a bigger truck than me too.  I got lucky....luckier than you, anyway!

If you need anything, will you please let me know?  dharmagirl69@gmail.com

I'll be more than happy to help.

I have been wondering what was up, even posted a blog awhile back (long since deleted-got not comments as per usual for me) wondering what had happened. Look forward to hearing from ya again...

Oh yeah...sorry about the wreck! Get well soon and at least enjoy the time away from work if possible.

Car wrecks suck....I was in a helluva one about 4 years ago...but you get a fat daddy check when it's all said in done...I'm wasted!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

As far as doing anything, just send cash.

Just kidding.

alison, no check for me. Sadly to say, I was found at fault because my car hit the ice and slid into oncoming traffic. Bad car, baaaad car.

Sorry to hear about this accident. I've been wondering about you as we share both firstname initial and surname. So sorry to hear about the accident. Also sorry to hear is was ice that caused it. I don't know how anyone can be 'blamed' for accidents such as this.

Anyway, good luck with the repairs, and I hope the rehab doesn't hurt too much.

Cheers,

Maso

The same thing happened to me, but I never got ticketed...it was a 'no fault' accident.  The Deputy that came to see me in the ER said he felt bad because he knew how the insurance companies were going to be, but that it really wasn't my fault and that he couldn't issue me a ticket because I didn't do anything wrong.

I never got a check either.  I did get a shitty call from Geico, telling me that if I "hadn't been driving, this wouldn't have happened". Gotta love that, huh?

Thanks again folks.

The healing process creeps along at it own pace. I hobble along on my crutches and pass the time as best I can watching TV (YUK), using my laptop, and doing my exercises to keep my leg muscles reasonably toned. I will be allowed to begin trying to put weight on the right leg beginning about mid-April.

I'm looking forward to that as I hate using these crutches. With any luck I'll be able to trade the crutches for a cane in about 6 months. (Keeping fingers crossed). I'm told the hip will likely never be 100% and I will probably need a cane or at best have a limp from then on. I'm also told that eventually arthritis will set in to the hip and it will have to be replaced. Makes me wonder "If they know this, why didn't they just go ahead and replace it while they were instead of patching it together with pins and screws and such?"

Anyway, I'm not complaining as I feel lucky to be alive after the wreck. It could have been much worse.
