A bunch of useless crap
Rambling thoughts

The comedy show last night was great. They made a mistake and booked two headliners for the same night, so we got a two for one show. Both comedians were really funny. We had a pretty good time.

Jo Ann called me around 9:30 this morning to tell me a patient drove her car through the front door of the clinic this morning. The lady is 75 years old, and probably should have stopped driving years ago. Not that all older people shouldn't drive, but there are many who are just not able to do so any more. Sad, really, but a reality nonetheless.

I started my series of articles on safe driving this morning. As most people mistakenly view themselves as expert drivers, I don\'t know how useful or well-received it will be. But, people need to be educated if the bloodshed on our highways, and the endless congestion is ever going to be resolved.

I honestly believe that people just don't realize that often they are the problem, or at least contributing to it. While my piddly little blog articles are highly unlikely to have a serious impact on these problems, one has a responsibility to do something, if able. Driving is one of my areas of professional expertise, and if even one person takes an honest look at their poor driving habits and changes them for the better, it'll be worth the time involved in writing them.

Who knows, it could even result in some person not being killed on the road. Wouldn't that be nice?

We are planning on driving up to Pennsylvania Friday to pick up the personal items I left in my old truck after the wreck in November. I am just hoping it is all still there. They tell me it is all on a pallet in the parts department, but who knows how much 'disappeared'. I would really hate to find out my brand new dvd/tv combo is gone, or my cb radio. They don\'t make that radio any more, and it is a very good one.

I am wondering if they even realized that the mattress on the bunk was an expensive pillow-top, and not the thin, cheap one that comes standard in a truck bunk. If they didn't remove it, and someone else has been using it, I don't want it back. May have to just write off the cost of that mattress. *sigh*

Going to get myself together and go out to greet the day. Beautiful out there, and it sure isn't likely to last.
