A bunch of useless crap

Today I visited a Brookstone store to pick up a wifi enabled "smart scale" and while I was there I ran across a very cool device called a Boogie Board. It is a paperless note pad and is exactly what I have been looking for to replace the multitude of dead tree note pads I go through every year.

I often need to jot down load information, phone numbers, pick up numbers, directions, etc. These are notes I don't need long term and it's such a waste to use a paper note pad, but at the same time trying to type them on a tablet while on the phone doesn't work all that well either. This Boogie Board is the perfect solution.

You use a stylus and write on it just like a sheet of paper. When you no longer need the note you just press a button and the screen is erased and ready to go again. It even has an erase lock so you don't accidentally erase the notes until you actually want to do so.

The cool thing is that you don't need to switch it on, it's always in a ready to write state, and the only time it uses the battery power is to erase the screen. Very, very cool. I love this thing!

SAVE A TREE!

SAVE MORE THAN ONE!

Have fun with your new toy for the month.   Wish I had a use for one.  As always across the mile and years, travel safe!

Looks cool, but I would probably just loose it.

Where in the world are you these days Mason.  Are your blogging days over?  I will miss your stories.  Stay safe.    judy

I'm still alive and kicking. I've just been super busy at work, hardly a spare minute for anything other than grabbing some sleep and taking off again.

I'm in the Richmond, VA area today. I have to deliver a military truck south of the city tomorrow.

Now that is cool!  I will look into that to eliminate the paper chase myself!

I knew you would like it. Brookstone is the only place I have seen it so far, but I would imagine some online retailers would have it as well.

I am currently sitting at an auction place waiting to load a bucket truck. I had the buyer and lot numbers written on it and when I showed them to the lady at the counter she was tripping out on the Board and just had to write on it to see how it works LOL.

I actually just saw one yesterday.  It was at a meeting, and one guy was using it.  I love it!

Cool. I have yet to see anyone else using one but some of my customers are really digging it. I made a pick up the other day and needed the model and serial numbers of the units. I had jotted them down on the board and carried it in to the shipping guy. He was fascinated by the board LOL.
