A bunch of useless crap

Warm weather is back with us once again so Saturday I went to buy a couple of pairs of shorts to wear while out doing my exercise walking. At first I started to just grab some in the size I have been wearing for years (40), but instead decided to actually try some on.

I'm glad I did. Turns out I have dropped a full pants size and the size 38 shorts fit me very well. A couple of months ago I wouldn't have been able to button them. I guess the effort is starting to pay off a bit.

I have to admit that trying them on and finding I was just so slightly thinner made me feel pretty good.

I guess you are going to shame me into going on a diet!  I know I need to, I just love the taste of food too much!

That's the best part, I still eat pretty much whatever I want, although I am avoiding fried foods for the most part. I just monitor my portions and calorie intake to make sure whatever I eat or drink doesn't put me over my daily calorie goal. The exercise helps too as the more calories you burn in a day the more you can eat.

 

My Fitness Pal really makes keeping track of it all pretty easy.
