Wow, I have been really busy. And really wet. It seems like everywhere I have been lately it has been raining. At least everywhere I have had to get out and secure a load. I am damn sick of getting rained upon.
I picked up a load, a couple of really big crates, in the rain, in Omaha on Friday that were going to Milwaukee. I dropped them, at the yard in Wisconsin, in the rain, on Sunday. I then secured a new model of snow removal truck, in the rain, and hauled it down to Indiana.
I unloaded the snow removal truck, in the rain, and then went back to the yard. I hooked to the load I had dropped at the yard, in the rain, and delivered it in Milwaukee, in the rain.
I went back to the yard and hooked to a different trailer, in the rain, and went up to Oshkosh to load a fire truck chassis and engine, in the rain, and haul it up to Appleton to unload it, in the rain.
This all took place between 8:00 am Friday and 6:00 pm Monday.
Today, Tuesday, I picked up a fire truck going down to Fort Polk, LA, in the rain.
I am really, really getting fucking sick of being rained on!
On the plus side, I met a very intelligent and entertaining young lady in Council Bluffs, IA. I chatted with her for quite a while and found her to be a great relief from the usual brain dead sorts that I often come across in my travels. The fact that she was young and attractive didn't hurt.
