I am currently in Columbus, GA. I arrived here yesterday afternoon. I will be delivering a military vehicle to Ft Benning for a show on Tuesday, until then I am just taking it easy.
There is a bar about a block down, and I visited it for a little while last night. I thought about going back tonight but I think I would rather just kick back in my room, enjoy a few bowls of pipe tobacco, and let my injured toe heal.
This morning I visited a local pipe shop and picked up a new Peterson pipe.

I also picked up an ounce of Virginia tobacco which I will use to christen the pipe some time this evening.
The weather here is nice, the room isn't exactly high class but is comfortable enough, and I am just a few miles from the base. I have an ample supply of pipes and tobaccos of various blends, and a few beers on ice. Seems like a relaxing enough weekend to me.
As the customer is paying for my layover time I am perfectly happy to hang out here for a few days, rest, and allow some much needed healing time for my very sore, very purple big toe.
