Tonight finds me in Stony Ridge, Ohio. I checked into the hotel and went to the lounge for some dinner and a few adult beverages.
I like this place as they are actively engaging in civil disobedience and one can smoke in the bar despite the fascist law. I support any business that engages in rebellion against the nanny laws.
One guy sitting next to me, a fellow trucker, asked me, politely, to put out my pipe while he was eating his dinner as the smoke was drifting in his direction. I did let the pipe go out and waited until he finished eating before relighting it. A bit of civility can go a long way.
The bartender tossed a new term my way and I really liked it. She said she wasn't a bartender, she said she was a "professional intoxicologist". Great term, I loved it!
I will be spreading the term intoxicologist around the country. I like it.
I had a pretty good time tonight, shooting the shit, drinking a few brews, and smoking a few bowls. One fellow, another driver, got a bit too lubricated and tried to start a fight, but that happens in a lot of places. I talked him out of it and convinced him he needed to go back to his truck to get some sleep. Normally I mind my own business, but as he elbowed me in the process of trying to start the fight I felt the need to get involved. I don't like being elbowed.
Now I am back in my room to relax, smoke some Bishop's Move, watch some bad television on SyFy, and get a bit of rest before heading on to Wisconsin tomorrow.
