The rain let up so I made my way over to Emerson's Fine Tobaccos to have a look around. I was a tad disappointed in their selection of pipe tobaccos, especially the lack of any tins of good English tobaccos. I was hoping to find a tin of Squadron Leader, but no such luck.
They did have numerous jars of bulk tobacco and, having carried one of my pipes in with me, I helped myself to samples of a few of them. I especially liked one called "Viking".
I then checked out their very nice selection of quality pipes. So many from which to choose. It was a pleasure to look at and handle the ones that especially appealed to me, and I finally settled on what I think is a very attractive Savinelli bent with a sterling silver ring.

It was a tad more expensive than I had planned on spending, but when the salesman told me that they would throw in an ounce of any pipe tobacco of my choosing, as well as a pipe nail, I figured "what the hell?" and bought it.
I also picked up a very nice leather pipe case that will carry several pipes, tobacco, cleaners, and tools. I think it's a quite nice case.

I probably shouldn't have spent the money but you only live once ya know.
