This morning I drove over to the outlet mall near my motel. I went mostly just to wander around and kill some time before getting some lunch. I wandered into the Old Navy store. They were having a buy 1 get 1 free sale on many items. I wound up picking up two new tee shirts and two new polo shirts for a total of $25. Not a bad deal at all.

As I was looking around the outlet mall I spotted a discount beauty supply and remembered that I was running low on shampoo and popped in there to pick some up. I wound up getting shampoo and conidtioner. I also noticed they had a salon and decided to return later for a haircut.

I grabbed some lunch and returned to my room. As it is hotter than hell outside I was ready for another shower by then. Before showering I noticed my reflection in the mirror and my beard had a lot more grey in it than I remembered. What the hell, I shaved it off. I looked at least ten years younger.

After cleaning up and making use of the new shampoo and conditioner I returned to the shop for my haircut. A nice, chatty young lady cut my hair for me and I must say that she did quite a good job of it. I am often reticent to allow a young stylist to cut my hair as they more often than not do a less than desireable job of it. I did point out to her that I have a double crown and that she would need to use a razor to get it to lay properly. She did so and it turned out better than I expected.

So now I have some new shirts, a clean shave, and a fresh haircut. I have to admit that it does lift the spirits and makes one feel better. Now of course I am all dressed up with no place to go as they say. I may wander over to the Silver Saloon for a couple of beers. Maybe not. I really didn't like the place all that much. Maybe I'll go find a nice Chinese buffet some place.

Hmmm, the Chinese buffet does sound pretty good actually. Time to check the handy dandy gps.
