It's been a long and interestng few days. I  met a guy in Montana who was from South Africa. He had some prettty strict ideas about race which we talked abiut and I just couldn't bring myself to agree with, but otherwise he was a nice guy. We had an interesting conversation. I met a gut the next night who was the only black guy living in Hardin, MT. He was a very bright 22 year old fellow and I really enjoyed talking wiht him.

Again, we didn't agree on everything but he was able to express himself in a very intelligent manner, which I found especially interesting. The kind of conversation we had was best described as "fascinating". I wrote down his name and number in my hard copy journal as I really liked the kid and would like to keep track of him.

Lots of friendly people out here if you look for them. I am parked outside a tavern in North Bend, WA where I have run into several folks who remember me from previous visits and with whom I've really enjoyed passing the past few hours. One lady in particular, who is, well let's just say is well endowed, remembered my last visit here and treated me especially well, Nothing like being treated like home some 3,000+ miles away.

My next load is in Portland, OR. It's something like 4 hours from here and doesn't load until Thursday so I have no obligations until then. Such is a

day off.
