I'm staying in a reasonably decent motel, a Days Inn. It looks clean and reasonably well maintained. Not a five star place of course, but not a flea bag joint either. I hopped into the shower and was enjoying a nice, hot shower when I looked up at the shower head and it was covered with tiny little ants! I could see them crawling out of the seam in the plastic shower head, by the thousands. Holy shit!
That was a new one on me. I can honestly say I have never in my life seen a shower head infested with ants.
Naturally I hopped out, toweled off, and called the front desk. I told the guy there he needed to double time it up to my room, and told him why. He sounded like he thought I must be imagining things or something, but agreed to come up. I escorted him into the bathroom and showed him the ants crawling all over the shower head. He said he had never seen such a thing before and helped me move my things to another room well down from that one. He also said he would let the manager know they needed to get the extermination company in to spray.
I doubt spraying will help. If the little buggers are coming out of the shower head they are inside the walls. Simply spraying isn't likely to help much.
Ah well, it's always something new isn't?
