A bunch of useless crap

I have some time to kill out here on the road and as the ac unit on my APU isn't working so my boss has paid for a room and the associated expenses. I took a cab down to a local bar and was having a good time there.

At one point these local police detectives came into the bar and were talking to the bartender and one patron. Seems a guy who left earlier with a couple of ladies got himself rolled. I laughed my ass off when I found out what was going on because I had thought about that when I saw them leave.

Having lived on the road for more years than I care to remember I have learned to spot such things and can avoid them easily. Most of these kinds of folks are pretty obvious when you see them.

I do kind of feel bad about the fact that I didn't do anything to stop the guy from leaving with those women, but then again I am not from this area and didn't know these people. Could have been they all knew each other. I had no way of knowing. But I had that feeling about them that comes from living on the road.

I wasn't at all surprised when I learned that those gals had rolled the guy.

I gave the cops a very good description of the two ladies, as I am pretty observant.

Speaking of observant, as I mentioned I took a cab there. I was talking to the lady driving the cab on the way and the talk somehow came around to smoking. As I got into the cab I happened to notice that she had a tattoo which was barely visible sticking out of her top. On the way she said that she thought that people who smoke are "low class".  I told her that I had people tell me that I was "low class" because I had tattooes.

She got the point very quickly and conceded that she was judging people unfairly. She actually said that I had given her something to think about and that she would have to stop being so judgmental. I think I may have actually made someone think for a change. How cool is that?

My work here is done.

The guy that walk out with the women, probably thought he was "super stud". He's lucky usually their is a boyfriend with a baseball bat waiting outside.

Good job on the taxi driver, you should have asked her if she knew of any good tobacco shops. I've been in a few cabs that a little fragrance of pipe tobacco would have been welcomed. The one in Bahrain, where the driver must have also been a camel jockey and skipped the shower, being the most recent.

Yeah, some cabs could use a good flamethrower enema.
