I'm in a hotel in Nebraska tonight. I had a few beers in the saloon and brought some dinner back to my room, some pretty good BBQ. Tasty.

A short while ago I walked out of my room to get something cold to drink from the machine down the hall. When I stepped out I heard a couple in the hall laughing and obviously enjoying each other's company. Naturally I looked in that direction. I saw no-one.

That was kind of weird but I just assumed it must have been coming from one of the rooms and went on to the drink machine and bought my drink.

Waling back to my room I again heard the couple laughing and cutting up. I looked down the hall and saw a man and woman, dressed in old fashioned clothing (late 1800s?) walking down the hall clinging to each other and obviously drunk.

Not an odd sight really, except that I could see right through them (kinda like fog). WTF?

I stopped dead in my tracks and watched them. They stepped into a room. He went through the motions of opening a door and all, but no door in that hallway actually opened, and they were gone.

I have to say that was very unsettling. I've never believed in ghosts but I swear I saw and heard two of them tonight.  And no, I hadn't had a lot to drink tonight.

I'll have to spend some time re-evaluating some of what I believe and think I know about the world around me. Perhaps there are things we have yet to explain.
