A bunch of useless crap

I made it back into WI today. This trip has been horrible. To top it off I have caught a very nasty cold and feel like shit.

I got to the yard fairly late in the afternoon and put my truck in the shop to be serviced, have the APU repaired, and to get a stone chip repaired in the windshield. The glass guy won't be there until tomorrow morning so they put me in the hotel for tonight.

I walked over to the Applebee's next door for a couple of beers and to spend a bit of time talking with some people who know me and one or two who don't. As there is a lot of ice on the ground just walking over there and back was a somewhat dangerous venture. I nearly busted my ass a couple of times. One of the slips kind of wrenched my back a bit and I suspect I'll be feeling that come tomorrow morning.

This cold is really kicking my ass. I feel like shit and my ribs are sore from the coughing. I had a nice hot shower which helped loosen up my chest and head a bit, but not nearly enough. Every time I cough it feels like my head is going to explode.

They'll have my truck ready sometime tomorrow morning but in the meantime I am going to relax and try to get some rest.

Folks at Applebee's were very curious about my electronic cigarette and I had to spend some time, several times, explaining just what it is and how it works. I have a feeling that PureSmoker.com is going to see a sales boost sometime soon.

Man, I really do feel like shit. I am done now, just don't feel like typing any more.

Sounds like the same cold that I picked up just after Christmas. Took a week for the worst of it to be over, but I'm stuck with an annoying cough. Not only did my ribs hurt, but my back too!

Seriously, you need to find a way to make some money off of the electronic cigarettes. Sounds like you'd be good at selling a product that you believe in.

Sleep well Mason, and watch out for the ice!

I hope you feel better soon.

Those damn colds are bad enough, but ice on top of it makes it terrible!

I know you hate California, but at least you did not have to worry about ice.

Hope you knock the cold out soon.

Yeah, it is cold and flu season. Lots of people sick right now.

I'm working on an idea. Just have to wait until I have the extra cash to follow up on it.

Sleep well Mason, and watch out for the ice!

Thanks

Thanks. Actually there were some slick roads in a couple of the passes up in Northern Cali when I was there.

Yea, I forgot about that! Well at least you are out of there. Get well soon.

It can get downright nasty in Truckee, CA, a major entry point for commerical vehicles. Cali sucks for enforcement too, they won't let you enter if you truck is even DIRTY, for fuck's sake. The truck washes make a fortune up there.

Yep, I try to avoid Truckee if at all possible.

Hope ya feel better, Mason. If you can find some Buckley's cough syrup it'll cure what ails ya. Tastes awful, like liquid Vick's Salve, but it clears everything right out. I've seen it in some Walgreens here and there, but it's not as popular here as it is in Canada. (You can order it online, and while that won't help ya right now, it's a good remedy to keep in the truck.)

Hang in there, bro. You're gettin' all your bad luck for the year taken care of this month.

Thanks.
