Ah well, it's that time yet again. I got an email from dispatch providing me with load information.
I have to pick up a couple of forkilfts in Jacksonville tomorrow going to the Chicago area. Well, at least I have one more night at home.
I'll spend the evening finishing packing up and getting the house ready to close up again. I don't plan on staying out as long this time, maybe three or four week, six at the most. It'll just depend on the loads and the associated income from them.
I'm pretty much ready to go. There are two pairs of khakis I still need to press, about a dozen pairs of socks to match up and pack in my bag, and my shave kit to pack up. That's about all that's left other than cleaning out the fridge and washing up the dishes after dinner tonight. Oh, and of course pack up my knitting gear once again, which I'll do in the morning as I'll be using it this evening.
Although I've been home for two weeks now I still feel like I just got home. I'm not really ready to leave out yet, but one has to earn a living.
Sucks, but true.
I'll enjoy my last remaining hours at home, drink a few brews, and try to psych myself back into my road dog frame of mind.
