A bunch of useless crap

Hello everyone. I know I haven't been on JU much lately, but I have been trying to keep running pretty steady while the weather is still good. It tends to slow down once winter weather hits. Make hay while the sun shines, and all that.

I brought a load down from Wisconsin, dropped a skid loader in Arkansas, a military truck at Dyess AFB in Abilinene Tx, and a freight elevator in Round Rock Tx. Now I am sitting in Tyler at the truckstop waiting for them to find me a decent paying load out again. So far, nothing but cheap loads that we won't haul.

I had a pretty good time in the saloon here last night, listened to some good country music and drank down a few longnecks to pass the time. The folks there are very friendly and know me by name and always seem glad to see me when I drop by this neck of the woods.

While I really do enjoy my trucking lifestryle, I do have to admit that it does get lonely at times being a homeless wandering gypsy. My CB handle is Saddle Tramp, and it pretty much fits my life right now. I try not to spend much time dwelling on these things though as this is the life I chose for myself. All in all, it really is a good life.

I get paid to travel around, look at the scenery, and meet some fine folks along the way. I am basically a paid tourist. Who can complain about that? Some people work all year long just so they can take a couple of weeks and do what I get paid to do all the time.

One of these days I may find myself some little place to call home, but for now I live on the road with no mortgage, no bills, and no ties. Not bad all in all.

Well, that's about enough for now, soon I'll be moving on to who knows where and checking out the great scenery this country has to offer once again.

Have fun, ya'll.

Howdy from Texas. But I am in Weatherford which is about 20 miles west of Fort Worth. I haven't been on here a while but it seems like the last time I heard from you, you were thinking about quitting driving the truck and going back to the 40 hours a week world. What happened to change your plans? Just wondering. I would love to be able to travel some day but I don't want to drive. I just want to look out the window not have to pay any attention to the other cars at all.

Money Locamama, money. I make better money doing this than anything else and besides, I tried it for a couple weeks and just couldn't stand it. I'm happier out here on the road.

Passed through Weatherford yesterday. Am in Tyler right now and am headed for Port Arthur to make a pick up tomorrow morning.
