The only load dispatch had for me yesterday was a crash truck (airfield fire truck) going to Tacoma. As I need to get home for Mom's surgery on the 9th I didn't want to go to the left coast and risk not being able to make it to Florida on time.
We decided that I would just take the weekend off and pick up another crash truck heading to Dover AFB on Monday. Staying East will ensure I can get home on time even though I don't really like running in that area in Maryland.
While inspecting my truck yesterday I noticed an odd tread wear pattern on the right front steer tire and asked the shop to take a look at it as I suspected a possible broken belt in that tire. They determined that the odd wear is being caused by the front end being out of alignment. Once I get the crash truck picked up Monday morning I'll return to the shop to have it aligned before I head for MD.
For now I am just hanging out at the hotel taking it easy. I was going to go and do some laundry but just really didn't feel like it. I still have some clothing and was mainly running low on clean socks and underwear. I solved that with a quick trip to Wally World and picked up enough of both to tide me over until I reach home. I really do hate laundrymats. Besides, you can't have too much in the way of socks and boxers LOL
