A bunch of useless crap

I'm still hanging out at the hotel waiting to hear about my truck. I am really hoping that they'll have it ready to go soon. I find hanging around hotels to be very boring, not to mention losing all that income from sitting still instead of trucking.

I'm not a big television person so I lose interest in it pretty quickly. Not much else to do in a hotel room though. Hopefully I'll get the call soon and be on my way once again.

I had been planning on heading home but now I'm not so sure about that. Mom's surgery will be the 9th of next month and I want to be there then, so I may just have to remain out here for a few more weeks. It's already been over 7 weeks since I've been home, so what's a few more at this point? Besdies, I don't make any money sitting at home either.

Ah well, guess I'll walk to the lobby and get another cup of coffee.

I took my son to a basketball Tournament in another state one year. We had to stay in a hotel. He was kept pretty busy with the banquets and such, and I pretty much just sat around the hotel and worked on my computer.

At the end of the stay, he asked "is this all there is". I told him, yep, pretty much! And he thought business trips were fun.

Yeah they tend to be pretty boring.

Business trips are fun, the first day! The days after that, not so much... it's fun to eat out on company money, though.

I'm just not crazy about staying in a room that's more than likely covered in the bodily fluids of its previous occupants.

so Mason, do you have a preference on which hotels you like better than others?  Do you normally gravitate towards one chain over another?

We've stayed in alot of hotels over the years.  We usually go middle of the road as far as Hotels are concerned price wise,  but we've found ourselves in some nasty places no matter the chain but genuinely find the Comfort Inns/Quality Inns ok.

We just booked four nights in Chicago in May at a Comfort Inn.  I hope it's clean.  But just in case I always carry my Lysol can with me.  But agree it can get boring just hanging around.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up.

Not especially, but I do tend to stay in AmericInns quite often.
