A bunch of useless crap

Today someone mentioned to me that the hotel in which I am staying is reputedly haunted. I did a quick bit of googling and found that it is indeed listed among the haunted hotels of America.

According to the story a bride named Rosie and her new groom checked into the hotel on their honeymoon. One evening the groom went down to the lounge to have a drink and while he was there he met another woman. After a prolonged absence, Rosie went in search of her new husband, only to find him and his “lady friend” pleasantly chatting at the bar. Within moments, she watched as the pair left the lounge and headed upstairs together. Rosie silently followed them to the woman’s fourth floor room, where in a jealous rage she shot them both with her husband’s gun. Afterwards, Rosie returned to the honeymoon suite and turned the gun on herself.

The ghosts of the groom and both of the women have been reportedly sighted by employees and guests of the hotel. Rosie wears a blue gown and is said to be seen on the second floor. The man wears a black long tailed coat, black boots, and a white shirt with a large silver button at the top. He has been seen all over the hotel but most often on the fourth floor and in the basement. The other woman wears a short red dress and is most often seen on the second floor but has also been seen in the lobby.

The housekeeping staff are said to often hear the sounds of both laughter and crying coming from the room that Rosie and her husband occupied. However, when they check no one is in the room.

There hotel is also reportedly haunted by someone who was pushed from a fourth floor window although I couldn't find any details of that..

I take all of that with a grain of salt but found it interesting just the same.

Love Xtine's zinger!

I personally dont beleive in ghosts, but admit I dont know enough to state they do not exist. So I find the stories fascinating as well. A part of Americana and an intresting part at that.

I love these kinds of hotels. I'm not sure if I could sleep there, but from the description you said in the other blog it sounds beautiful and spooky. I hope you are on the road soon.

Well, I try to keep an open mind but have never personally seen a ghost. Anything is possible I suppose but I am very skeptical. I agree the stories themselves are quite interesting.
