A bunch of useless crap

After a good deal of consideration I've decided that it's time for me to make some serious changes. Since my bad back will longer allow me to continue driving a truck for a living, I will have to look into something else.

I spent a good many years working in the Electronics industry and had moved very high up in the ladder in my field. While I have been out of the industry for several years now, I still feel that my education, experience, and solid reputation may again serve me in my search for gainful employment.

I do not desire a management position like I had before. There is just to much stress and BS that goes with that. I am going to seek a technician, test engineer, or similar position. Perhaps even a lower-level supervisory position might be ok. Depends on the job.

The area where I live is just not the place for these types of jobs, so I have decided to relocate. Since my long time girlfriend and I are on the skids anyway (totally my fault) I am thinking of moving back to Florida. I have been doing a bit of research and there does seem to be a good many electronics related positions available down there. Besides, I really do enjoy the weather in Florida.

I have sent a few resumes to companies down there, and perhaps may receive some responses in a few days. In the meantime I can begin to get things together in preparation for the big move. Luckily I'm not a very materialistic person so I won't have a bunch of crap to move. It should all fit in my car no problem. The girlfriend can have everything else, I really don't care.

I've decided that in order to make the trip less costly I will use my tent and sleeping bag and just stay in campgrounds instead of motels. They are much cheaper and I can make a kind of traveling camping trip out of it.

Well, the decision is made. Now I just have to take care of all the little mundane details. But first, I think I'll get drunk. Sounds like a plan.
