A bunch of useless crap
What's the problem here?

...or does there seem to be a wave of "touchiness" going on here at JU lately?

I'm seeing a lot of snapping and lashing out on seemingly small remarks. Is it the weather? It seems to be getting worse every day. A lot of sniping going on. What gives?

You know Mason it's funny that you should post this..I was just thinking that same thing.

I think that there's a big storm brewing, and that people are either going to throw their hands up and leave in a huff, or they're going to blot their copybook and get banned.

I, however, am not going anywhere.

When are people not snapping? It keeps things interesting. Why do you think people stick around.

I haven't 'stuck around' because of petty bickering and insults. Interesting writings and thoughtful intelligent debate are great aspects of a site like this, but childish sniping about innocent comments and personal attacks on the writers are a stain on an otherwise good idea.

That sort of behaviour says a great deal more about the person doing the bickering than all the thought-out articles combined. Perhaps a nappy time every afternoon may help the crankiness.

The bickering does add another level of interest, but there's a danger that snapping at other peoples remarks might make some people wary of writing from the gut.

But as long as the argument doesn't get pedantic, long-winded and boring, it'll probably be as insightful and as much of a release as any other heartfelt article.

Btw, are you referring to the 'imposing your belief system' comments that you received on the 'today would be a good day to die' entry? That was a bizarre little semantics debate, and admittedly, quite entertaining - but maybe, Blue Dev could've written his own blog about it rather than bringing such bad feeling to a blog which was otherwise filled with optimism and support.

Your right, I was wrong to do that an am really sorry to MasonM for bringing that up. It certainly wasn't my inention, and thus have not gone back there since.

Sorry again about that, and it won't happen again. Please feel free to delete my responses Mason.

Not at all. actually this article predates the other. I was actually referring to some comments made by people in other articles which, at least to me, seemed like over reactions.

All comments are welcomed on my articles as long as they don't become obviously obnoxious attempts at personal attacks or just plain disrespectful.

Please don't apologize for making sincere comments, even if a bit off topic. I am not one of the 'strict' folk.

I honestly believe the Blue didn't mean any offence by his comment.  He's just not that kind of fellow, dig?

I don't stay here for the bickering and fighting either.  I have enough stress in my real-time life without adding to it here.  I stay because I enjouy blogging, and I enjoy the company of most of my fellow bloggers.
