A bunch of useless crap

For those who observe the Christmas holiday with gift exchanges, what is that one thing that you are really hoping to get? Maybe it's more than one thing. Maybe it's something you haven't even mentioned to a potential gift giver but secretly would like to get.

So, JU, let's have it. What do you want for Christmas?

I'll start it off.

Some really nice yarn.

Truthfully, I'm on the fence as to what I want yet! Terrible but true!

Ok, these are not things I expect to get (AT ALL!), but here's what I would like:

A ring similar to this (I couldn't find the one I want, but this one is nice and way cheaper):

A front load washer and dryer set with storage compartments, a Dyson vacuum cleaner, Yankee candles, Philosophy body wash, new bras, shopping spree at Baby GAP and GAP Kids, a modern refrigerator, swing gates for the house, a vacation to Maui, ummm...I could go on. Haha.

I'm hoping I get all three boys home for Christmas. Right now two are for sure, one is on the fence trying to work it out. It will be a great Christmas if they all come home.

TW: On the Yankee candle thingy.......I found out it's not good to burn candles inside the home the hard way. In my last house after burning candles (Yankee especially) for years I figured out I had soot all over my walls caused by these candles. When I went to wash the walls it all smeared and it wouldn't clean up. I called a cleaning company and they told me to never burn candles inside because that's what happens. I had to repaint everything. I actually had a painting contractor come and they scrubbed the walls down with something especially made for this.

So when we moved here, I decided only to put the candles in a warming jar instead. It works great. They smell just as good, if not better than burning. When the building contractor did a walk thru here, he noticed my Yankee candle on the counter and mentioned that I shouldn't burn candles because of the soot it would cause on my newly painted walls. I told him I had learned that lesson in my former home and vowed never to burn candles again unless an emergency or something like that.

Haha, I appreciate the advice but I'm not going to stop burning candles.

We are military. We don't own a home. I'll let the company that owns the housing and charges us over $2k a month for our little piece of the four-plex worry about cleaning and painting the walls.

Last Christmas all I wanted was an easy chair and I think I hoped for a car,    well before the year was out I had each,  just not on Christmas morning,  which was fine.

This year I'm hoping for a chenille floor lenght bathroom,  the old fashioned kind,   and a pair of slippers from LL.Bean,  or else from Wal-Mart

I'd be happy though with a card and a hug!  After all,   it's Jesus' birthday,   not mine

I want some biological agents, so that I can wage chemical warfare against all the idiots of this planet . . .

Oh, wait. We'd ALL be dead.

Maybe that's not so bad after all . . .

"All I want for Christmas is you"

on a more serious note, I would like big screen TV, not necessarily a flat screen. Just something bigger than a 32 inch. I like watching TV and I miss my 32 inch I left in Puerto Rico.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket or Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket I want a vintage 50's black velvet, sequined, hand-painted Mexican circle skirt. I also want to be tiny enough to wear authentic vintage clothing without major alterations and while we're at it why not throw in tickets to VLV to show it off.

Oh and in the interest of keeping this a candle thread, soy candles are supposed to burn much cleaner.

Why do women like candles so much?

I'm hoping to snag an Xbox 360, or something to keep me amused and out of trouble anyway.

Something with breasts.

Hmm, not specific enough.

And no Adam's Apple.

Hmm.

And human.

Yeah, that should do it.
