That is a heartwarming story.  We need to be reminded of the good guys sometimes.  There really is nothing like seeing a shiny bike under the tree. 

Yeah for a kid a shiny new bike is about the biggest and best gift they can get.

I've seen that here too Mason.... a few times. There's been a couple articles here with the same idea, making sure kids have bikes for Christmas only I think they collect them, fix them up so they're like new and deliver them.

We didn't have bike stories like this in Maine. I'm thinking for obvious reasons. I was talking with one person at the (Redneck Christmas Party) and he told me his best gift was a bicycle but his first bike ride wasn't until April. So for a kid, that's a long time to wait to take a new gift for a ride.

Heartwarming stories are out there, but usually not newsworthy unless it's Christmas or something.

Yeah that's the bit that really sucks.

I wish he had been around when I was a kid.  I did not get a bike until I was a teen - and then I bought it with Baby sitting money.  People like Alex are what makes this season so special.
