A bunch of useless crap

I pulled into this plant in PA this morning hoping to get unloaded fairly quickly and be on my way again. No such luck. The receiving side isn't capable of unloading anything as large as these pieces so they sent me around to the shipping side which is quite busy.
I am now sitting and waiting for my turn to get into their bay to have the pieces unloaded. As this is the shipping dock I have to wait until they load the trucks that are here to pick up.

Thankfully this place has a cafeteria so I was able to go inside and sit down to have something to eat instead of having to eat some vending machine garbage. The food was actually pretty good and was reasonably priced to boot.

So now I am just hanging around killing time with my laptop and my knitting until I can finally get into the dock and be unloaded. At this point I am doubting that I'll have time to get a reload today so I'll have to go find a truckstop some place once I finish up here.

Oh well, it's not like I had anything better to do.

I always enjoy your tales from the road, Mason. Reading them is a nice past time for those of us stuck in one place.

Well, at least you didn't have to take an exam.

Thanks. Just routine crap for me.

I was right about no reload today. I drove the 30 miles to the truckstop. It's been a couple of years since I've been in this truckstop. They remodeled since then and are now serving beer in the diner so it wasn't a total loss.

True enough. I guess I'm weird, I always enjoyed exams when I was in college. But then I always did like a challenge.

I don't mind a challenge...but I view these as more of an annoyance.

Didn't study huh?

Actually I did. So therefore it wasn't much of a challenge.

What kind of company was it?  Where I work, some of the best food is in company cafeterias around here (open to the public).

And it is good to see your radar is still working.

It was a Siemens plant. I believe this one makes power control systems for nuclear power plants.

As for the radar, just the luck o' the Irish.
