Dispatch finally called me around 1:00 this afternoon with a load for me to pick up. I had to scramble to get down to Sebring, FL to get the machine picked up before 5:00. Geez, that's cutting it close. I rolled in there at 4:30.
Naturally it was raining the whole time I was loading, securing, and tarping (I hate those damn things) this machine. Makes a lot of sense to load a machine outside, in the rain, and then want it tarped (I hate those damn things). Umm, hey dummy, the damn thing is already wet. Ah well, they're paying for tarping (I hate those damn things) so I tarped (I hate those damn things) it. But I made him help me.
The machine is heading for Brazil, IN and needs to be there Monday. Piece of cake. As home was on the way (kinda sorta) I stopped back here to get a shower and spend the night. One more comfy night in my own bed before another three weeks or so living in the truck again, and one more morning of Elie's great coffee.
The hard work is out of the way now so I can leave out some time tomorrow morning and just take my time cruising up to Brazil.
Now for that shower to wash off the tarp (I hate those damn things) grime.
