A bunch of useless crap

It's a very relaxing and enjoyable morning at home sweet home. I slept in, well for me anyway, and didn't get up until 7:30. I put on a pot of coffee, a little bummed because I couldn't grind the beans Elie sent me, and just sort of chilled a bit while it was brewing.

There are things I need to do today such as making a grocery run, buying a coffee grinder, and returning to my truck to get my laundry which I left yesterday as I was just too damn tired to fool with it at the time. But none of these things are time sensitive and I can get to them when I get to them. Right now I am too busy doing nothing.

Well, almost nothing. I am installing the newest maps version to my GPS but the computer is doing all the work. All I did was pop in the DVD, plug in the GPS, and click a couple of buttons. It'll take a couple of hours for the maps to install.

I can think of several things that I probably should be doing right now but none of them seem pressing enough to motivate me at the moment. I'll likely get bored before the day is out and actually do some of them. Or not. A month on the road can wear you down and resting seems like a pressing task to me right now.

If nothing else I will at least repair the leaking water valve in the bathtub at some point today. That leak is a slow one but still wastes a lot of water over time. I think that will be my one item to tackle today. Later.

Sometimes it's good to be lazy.

I wanted to be doing nothing today but have some things to get done at work thanks to some issues there, and then had a wrong-number caller this a.m. that opted to end my morning of sleeping in.  (Darned ignorant caller too since they couldn't figure out (a) that they had called a wrong number, and ( that the person who answered the phone wasn't who they expected which should have confirmed the information in (a) just prior.)

I didn't want to forget to say though that I really hope you enjoy your time at home.  Hopefully it'll let you catch plenty of R&R so you can recharge well before your next jaunt across country.

Gotta love it when dumbasses learn to use a phone.

Thanks.

~burst into song...

"Lazy Day"

Lazy day, Sunday afternoon,
Like to get your feet up, watch T.V.
Sunday roast is something good to eat,
Must be lamb today 'cause beef was last week.

(ahhhh, ahhhh, ahhhh, ahhh...)

So full up, bursting at the seams,
Soon you'll start to nod off, happy dreams.
Wake up, for tea and buttered scones
Such a lot of work for you Sunday Moms.

(ahhhh, ahhhhh, ahhhh, ahhhh...)

It's such a crying shame
Week after week the same.

Today's heaven-sent and you're feeling content,
'Cause you worked all week long.
Still, it's quite sad -- tomorrow's so bad
And I don't feel so strong.

(ahhh, ahhhhh, ahhhh, ahhh....)

Lazy day, Sunday afternoon,
Like to get your feet up, watch T.V.
Sunday roast is something good to eat,
Now it's almost over till next week.

(ahhhh, ahhhhh, ahhhh, ahhh...)

That's how your life goes by
Until the day you die.

Yeah, I'm still looking for that high paying beach bum position.
