A bunch of useless crap

I finally made it up to WI with this heavy load. I intentionally dragged my feet a bit so that I would run through IL today as their weigh stations are usually closed on Sunday. I have permits and all that, it's just a royal pain to have to stop at each weigh station and show it to them.

I'm now parked at the truckstop just a few miles from the factory that will rebuild the military truck and will deliver it there tomorrow morning. For now I can just kick back and relax for a while.

I did manage to do a little geocaching on the way up, one cache being a pretty interesting hike through the woods with some fairly steep climbs in a couple of spots. The new hiking pole came in quite handy. I was glad I wore long pants on that one as there were a lot of stinging nettles along the way.

I think I'll let dispatch know I'm looking for a load back to FL after this one. It's getting about time to go home for a bit. I'm ready to spend a little R&R time at home.

Not much else going on. I'm gonna make myself a sandwich and pop in a DVD.

Hopefully you have something good to watch (and to eat too)

enjoy what life has to offer Mason, sometimes I wish I could go on a run with you.

Thanks, I do what I can to make the best of things out here. If I could I'd take ya along some time, but the military bases I usually visit frown on such things.

Is it finally cooler where you are now?  it cooled off here,  thank God!

Have you seen that movie with Debbie Reynolds and Albert Brooks called "Mother"?   I think it's funny.

Have a good trip home Mason.

Va weigh stations seem to only operate during normal business hours (something to keep in mind if you have a load and going through).

Is it any cooler up there?  We are getting a nice day, but the temps are headed back to the stratosphere tomorrow.
