A bunch of useless crap

Yeah, it was one of those days where everything worked out exactly the way it shouldn't have.

I got to the pick up location 15 minutes early this morning as is my habit but still wound up having to wait a couple of hours before getting loaded. Instead of getting all bent out of shape about it I just pulled out my knitting and worked on that until time to finally load. When the guy walked over to my truck to tell me he was ready for me he kind of did a double take on the knitting but never said a word about it. Could be because he figured it was none of his business, or he just didn't know what to say, or that I have at least 50 lbs on him and he thought better of it.

After getting everything loaded onto the trailer and strapped down I typed my destination into the GPS and took off. The GPS did ok on most of the routing but it doesn't know a couple of my shortcuts through the woods to get back to the interstate from there and it complained a little until it finally figured out where I was going. She can be a bit bitchy at times LOL

Once I got to I-75 and started heading North I ran smack into another delay. Damn! traffic was at a dead stop for miles. Seems there was a nasty wreck about 10 miles ahead of me that brought the Northbound side to a halt. I sat there for about 2 hours before it finally slowly starting inching forward. I spent the time knitting again. What else was there to do anyway? No point in stressing out fuming about it as that wouldn't make the traffic move.

I think my knitting did give the folks in the Greyhound next to me something to talk about though LOL

So I am now just inside GA. I should be much farther up the road. I had planned on trying to clear Atlanta today but it wasn't meant to be I guess. Well, at least the morning rush will be over by the time I get that far tomorrow morning.

I just have to deliver this load at the yard of a trucking company in MN so I SHOULD be able to that on Saturday. I'll give them a call some time tomorrow and make sure that's gonna work out as I don't want to babysit this load until Monday. I wanna get it delivered and get to our yard and get my paperwork turned in over the weekend so I get paid the end of next week. The whole house buying/moving thing left me a bit short of funds as I hadn't exactly planned on the whole thing ahead of time.

Ah well, such is life in the funny papers.

Good ting you were not driving and knitting!  Those poor folks would have had a heart attack!

Today wasn't any better. Accidents, construction zones, and accidents in construction zones. geesh.
