A bunch of useless crap

I got up and got an early start this morning so that I could make delivery in WI by noon. I never made it.

My truck decided that it really didn't feel like working today and the engine sputter and spat all the way up the road. No power at all. Wonderful.

I then got stuck in a really bad back up on I-295. By the time I made it up to the choke point I saw why. Someone was having an even worse day. An SUV ran over someone on a motorcycle. They had the body covered with a white sheet but there was a huge amount of blood running out from it like a little red river. Terrible.

I finally limped the truck to the diesel shop in Milwaukee. Someone from the company came down to pick me up and take me back to the yard. I got one of the old trucks, a real pile of junk with no a/c, but by this time it was too late to go back down, pick up my trailer, and make delivery.

I've checked into the hotel and will drive the pile of junk down tomorrow morning to get my trailer and finally make delivery up in Oshkosh. Ah well, at least I can be comfortable, drink a few beers, get a nice hot shower, and do a bit of knitting.

The Irish hiking scarf is already looking pretty cool. I've never done cables before but found that while they look really intricate and all they're actually quite easy to knit. I'll get back to the socks eventually. I can switch back and forth between the two projects until I get them finished.

That's why motorcycles scare me. Not because I dont like riding a bike. ut ecause others dont seem to care about those that do ride them.

Hope it gets better tomorrow.

Yeah, I've always enjoyed riding them and have owned several, but I also always imagined that I would wind up like that poor sap.

Thanks.

My son loves motorcycles and wants to get one, I hope he doesn't though.

What a sad thing to have seen

am looking forward to seeing a pic of the Irish scarf!

Wow, that's horrible for that poor guy!

At least you were able to get towed back to the yard.

Hey, I wanted to give my kudos on that clock but couldn't because of logging in problems the other day! Great job! You have become such an expert! You should keep an album of all your work, take a picture and stick it in a book!

Thanks. I don't know if my crap would ever be album worthy

I was able to drive the truck, didn't need a tow. Turned out it was a bad fuel injector, which is what I told them I thought it probably was.
