A bunch of useless crap

I was listening to Sherlock Holmes on the XM radio today and have a bloody British accent stuck in my head now so if you don't mind, read the following with an imagined British accent ala Holmes or Watson. Sorry for the bother, that's just the way it came out you know.

When you're in the midst of a depression episode you pretty much don't care about anything and pretty much everything is just too much of a bother to deal with. Depression episode; that's what my shrink always called it back when I actually had a shrink. Sounds quite dramatic doesn't it? Depression episode! I think he just enjoyed saying it.

I turned on my laptop yesterday and was unable to get a connection through the Cingular wireless system. I had plenty of signal, but the system refused to accept my log in. I got angry, as I easily do when I am having a dramatic sounding depression episode, and put the laptop away until later.

Last evening I tried again with the same annoying result. I pulled out my prepaid Visa and paid for an evening of the local truck stop's wireless service. There's more than one way to skin a moose you know. I then went to the Cingular site to voice my outrage at not being able to log on. When I logged into my account there in big red letters was the reason why. "Account Past Due".

Oh yeah that's right. I had been meaning to pay that but it was just such a bother. I had to draw the money off my fuel/pay card, find a location to load said money onto my prepaid Visa card, log onto the site, and pay the bill. In my current condition you might be amazed at how difficult it was to just think through all of that and type it out. A lot of bother and quite tiring. More so to actually have to do it.

I pretty much just said to Hell with it. I wasn't going to all that trouble.

When I stopped here at this truck stop in NC I saw that they had a location here where I could load money onto my Visa card, and the ATM was directly across from them not 10 steps away from the counter. *Sigh* Ok, I get the point. Pay the damn bill. So I did. I went through all of the steps and got the past due bill paid.

I only hope that they restart my service without me needing to go to the bother of calling them up and pointing out to them that I had in fact gone to the trouble of paying the bill and would they please turn my damn service back on? I'm really not in any mood to be polite.

I'm using the Wifi service here for tonight but I'll try to use the Cingular card in an hour or two just to see if it lets me log on then or stubbornly continues to annoy me. Or maybe I won't. Might just be too much bother.

I understand totally. There are times when there needs to be a company that handles all that crap for you when one just isnt in the mood to deal w/ it.

Hang in there. I know it's hard.. but know we're cheering for you. You will come out of the fog.. and be back to yourself when the imbalance straightens out.

Hey, you got it done.

This is a good thing.

Yeah I suppose so. Would have been better to get it done before they shut it off, but oh well.

Did they re-establish your wireless?  Comanies can be real arse wipes on that at times.  Take your money and then "get a round toit".

Yeah, I tried it after about an hour and it was back on.
