A bunch of useless crap
Published on May 14, 2007 By MasonM In Blogging
I finally got a load today. I have to head over to Titusville, FL tomorrow morning to load some machinery. Part of it is going to Romulus, MI and part to Cedarville, WI. As it's machinery I'm sure it'll have to be tarped even though she didn't mention it (probably to avoid hearing me bitch).

I really should have spent today getting packed up and ready to roll but I was lazy. I did get some of my clothes packed and ready, but I still have some to do. I also have to pack up all of my computer gear. I carry around far too much computer related gear. Typical geek I guess.

I have one laptop bag for, what else?, my laptop, laser mouse, and trip reporting relating supplies. I have another bag that holds my external DVD writer, external hard drive, flash drives, cables, cords, digital cameras, web cam, and assorted other crap. There is a third bag that holds my blank and burned CDs and DVDs, as well as anything else that isn't in the other two.

Like I said, too much really.

After dinner (fried brown rice) I'll have to pack it all up and get prepared to roll out in the morning. Ah well, there's nothing to motivate you at the last minute like a good period of procrastination.

Hmmm...now why does Titusville sound like such a cool destination to me? Wonder what their mascot is...

Anyway, sorry your home break had to finally come to an end. Heh, what us workin' folk have to do for the money huh?

You forgot to mention your knitting bag.. if you're like most knitters..you have to decide what project, which yarn, pattern, needles, etc.. we can have2-3 bags of just that.

Be safe back on the road... between the ditches, shiny side up,.. no more injured backs... enough!

Big Bear hugs your way!

! So funny Rose!lol!

You'll be passing through my area tomorrow M! Taking the 408? Travelling really early is advisable! I'll be sleeping - hopefully! Drive safe! Oh, there was some wildfire in the Christmas area today which you might have to pass by, I think...although I can't remember if you have to go all the way down or not. But it rained today thank heavens so that hopefully means it's over!

When my job was nomadic (running around a COUNTY not a country), I had one of those Computer bags as well.  Packed with everything except the kitchen sink.

Have a safe trip.  And stay away from the fires.

Yeah, if it weren't for the need to eat and pay bills we'd have it made.

Close enough

Titusville is next to the Kennedy Space Center.

Nah, I ran up I-4 and across FL-50. Am sitting in Titusville now waiting my turn to load.

It turns out the WI stop hasn't yet paid for their freight (auction purchase) so for the moment at least I'm just picking up the two pieces for the MI stop. But that's subject to change at any moment.

Yeah, the laptop case has replaced the briefcase these days.
