A bunch of useless crap

My sinuses have been bothering me for about a week now. Spring allergies and all that. I normally just ignore it and go about my business. The past few days my ears have been plugged up due to the sinus problems and everything sounds like I'm under water or something. It's quite annoying.

Last night and this morning I took really hot showers hoping that it would ease the pressure but no love there. As I have been steadily climbing in altitude today the pressure in my ears has steadily grown worse and reached the point where it was very uncomfortable.

I pulled into the truck stop in Limon, CO and picked up a package of Tylenol Severe Sinus Congestion & Pain for around a million dollars (gotta love truck stop mark ups). I don't like taking pills but sometimes ya reach a point where it's stupid not to do so. I took a couple of them about an hour ago and so far they haven't helped ease the ear pressure any but have made my nose run a bit so hopefully they're actually doing something that will eventually help.

Ah well, at least it isn't snowing.

Tylenol Severe Sinus Congestion & Pain

for me sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. I HATE taking those kinds of meds and benadryl and the like because they weird me out (and I can't afford to get any more weirded, LOL) and make me feel like what's between the bread in a shit sandwich. But sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and do something!

Sometimes the allergy relief is better than the sinus... I have both... and sometimes the allergy will clear my head & ears better... just a thought...But don't feel bad for taking something.. it's spring afterall... now if it were snowing.. we wouldn't have to worry about allergies.....lol

Biggest problem I typically have with cold meds is that they tend to dry me out in more ways than one, sending me to the restroom to drain the vein several times in the night.   I wind up losing more sleep to going to the bathroom than I do to the stuffed sinuses.

I've got the allergies too and it's bad some days, good other days. You might need something stronger. Try Claritin over the counter, that might work better than the Tylenol.

I know what you mean. That's why I bought the stuff I did as it's non-drowsy and doesn't cause "medicine head".

The problem with any allergy medication that also contains a decongestant is that they make you drowsy. It's a bad combination when driving. Allergy alone wouldn't have the decongestant that I need at the moment.

Meh. I'd rather deal with the allergies than the snow.

Yeah some of them do me the same way. This is one of the ones that don't (at least for me).

I've tried Claritin in the past and all it did was give me a splitting headache. I really needed the decongestant more than the allergy relief, at least for the time being. I'll probably have to swing by the doc's and pick up a script for allergy meds when I get back home. I can never recall the name of the stuff but it works pretty well without making me sleepy.

I bet the stuff about chewing gum doesn't help either, huh?!

Boy I hate when that happens,  that feeling where you can sort of hear your own voice in a vaccum!

Hope ya feel better in the morrow

Thanks, I've tried gum, mints, you name it. The pills did finally help a little. Maybe if I keep taking them it'll finally clear.

I take two horseradish and garlic tablets every day. I still get the occasional sneezes but for the most part, these do the trick without any nasty side effects.

That's a new one on me as far as sinus or allergy problems go.
