A bunch of useless crap

I'm sitting in Austin, TX connected to someone's unsecured wireless router, waiting for the folks at this little shop to arrive. I'm picking up a truck that's heading for Colorado, just North of Denver. I'll be reloading there Monday morning heading back to Wisconsin. I haven't been in CO for a long time so this will be a change of scenery.

At first I was told the guy needed me to be here at 6:30 for this pick up this morning, but then when I called and spoke with him he said 8:00. I don't like it when I get conflicting information so I rolled in here at 6:15 just to play it safe. The earlier I get loaded the earlier I can get rolling.

Well, someone just pulled in so maybe I can get loaded now. Have a good day y'all.

Ah well, no such luck. Turns out that the company from whom I am picking up this truck isn't even at this address any more. They've moved to another location. The guy who showed up works for the company that is now occupying the building. He did show me where the truck is located, left behind by the former tenants.

I guess maybe the guy will be here at 8:00. Ah well, I'd rather be early than late.

I'm now watching a fire truck, ambulance, and police cars dealing with an accident that just happened on the main drag directly in front of where I am sitting in this side street. Some asshole just had to pull out in front of someone and get creamed. Probably in a hurry to get to work and couldn't wait an extra five seconds.

They were already on.

I got the panel truck loaded and am on my way to CO. I have to deliver it at 6:30 Monday morning so don't have to be in a big rush.

Impatience kills. I truly detest impatient drivers. They insist on providing entertainment for unwilling viewers.

Yep, just like the asshole who almost took my bumper off in Detroit last week.

Yeah I hate being late although it does happen from time to time. I didn't mind the wait. I walked over to the C-store on the corner and got myself another cup of coffee so I was nice and awake when it was time to work.

I've shot a few more video clips; the snow storm a week ago in WI and some odds and ends stuff. I just haven't had much time (or bandwidth) to do much with them. My youngest brother emailed a bunch of pictures of the kids and such for me to give to my mom so I've been editing them into a slide show that I'll burn to DVD so she can view it on her tv. I just finished editing in a music sound track so it wouldn't be quite so boring. I hope to have it finished and burned before I make it back home again so she can watch it right away.

Your mom like mine, eh? No computers! But mine worked with them for 40 years before retiring!

Nice! She is going to enjoy that!

Yeah, she doesn't really understand them very well and just isn't willing to learn.

yeah I'm sure she will. I have to connect her DVD player for her when I get home. She said she moved the furniture around and doesn't know how to hook it back up
