A bunch of useless crap

I pulled out of the truck top in Southwestern MO around 7:15 this morning. I knew I had 11 hours of hard driving time between there and where I needed to be tonight. Counting stops for rest breaks, food, etc, it took me exactly 12 hours and 15 minutes to get here. Needless to say no grass grew under my feet as I was only stopped a total of an hour and 15 minutes all day.

I rolled into this truck stop in Fond du Lac, WI this evening at 7:30 on the nose. Tired and sore, but here.

I'm going to bed. I have to be 20 miles up the road to deliver at 6:30 tomorrow morning. I need some sleep. I'm getting up at 5:00 in the morning so I have a little extra time to drink some coffee before heading over there.

Sounds like you are almost 100% (well, before the day started at least).  Good luck today.

Thanks. Yeah I'm getting there. My back kept me from sleeping well last night but I didn't want to take the pain pills because they might have made me oversleep.

Ah well, the load is delivered and I am sitting here waiting for my breakfast. I'll call in after I eat and see what else they need me to do before heading to the yard. I'm sure they have something they need picked up while I am up here. I am hoping that once I get to the yard I can talk them into letting me take the rest of the day off to get some rest.

Thanks. Yeah it was and I'm feeling it this morning. I guess I'm getting old as I used to run harder than that back before the car wreck that laid me up for so long. I just can't do it any more.

Or maybe I just got lazy.
