Today I finished the top of the second sock, turned the heel, and just finished picking up the gusset. It's going much faster using a single circular needle and the Magic Loop method than the first one did using four double point needles.
Since the pattern I am following was written for doing it on four double points I'm having to figure some things out as I go in order to adapt it to magic loop. Picking up the gusset and getting everything divided correctly again was the tricky part, but I managed to figure it out.
I'm about to start shaping the gusset. I'll have to add some stitch markers as I go in order to be able to tell where the gusset sides stop and the top starts so that i get the decreases in the correct spots, otherwise I could wind up with a very oddly shaped sock. This will be the first time I've actually had to use stitch markers.
Nothing really exciting going on. Knitting and chilling out.
